Are You Ready?

Only those who are pure, consecrated, desperate, broken, hungry, those who are in love with Him, those who sees what He sees can experience the fullness of His glory!

The SIGNs are ALL here! This generation will witness the Great and Dreadful day of the Lord.

“33Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”(Matthew 24: 33 – 25 NIV)

“Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (Matthew 24:4 NIV); “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:42 NIV); “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” (Matthew 25:13 NIV); “Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.”(Matthew 24:4 NIV).

Watch: Greek word “blepó”  to look (at) Phonetic Spelling: (blep'-o) Short Definition: I look, see Definition: (primarily physical), I look, see, perceive, discern. blépō – properly, to see, be observant (watchful).  (blépō) suggests "to see something physical, with spiritual results (perception)." That is, it carries what is seen into the non-physical (immaterial) realm so a person can take the needed action (respond, beware, be alert).

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:42 NIV); Word watch found in other verses( Matthew 25:13, Mark 13:35&37, Mark 14:34&38); Used as “be on guard”(1 Corinthians 6:13, Acts 20:31). Repeated 8 times, there is a new beginning that God wants us to enter in. Greek word grégoreó” to be awake, to watch; Phonetic Spelling: (gray-gor-yoo'-o); Short Definition: I am awake, am vigilant, watch; Definition: (a) I am awake (in the night), watch, (b) I am watchful, on the alert, vigilant. ; grēgoreúō – literally, "stay awake"; (figuratively) be vigilant (responsible, watchful).

Its not time to be:Sleepy, laid back, relaxed, complacent. DON’T LET YOUR FAITH SLEEP. DON’T LET YOUR FAITH SLIP.

WE MUST BE READY, but why? “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”(Matthew 24:44 NIV); “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7 NIV)

Ready: Greek word “hetoimos” prepared; Phonetic Spelling: (het-oy'-mos); Short Definition: ready, prepared; Definition: ready, prepared;  hétoimos (from heteos, "fitting") – ready because prepared; "standing by," ready to meet the opportunity (challenge) at hand; ready because the necessary preparations are done (or are sure to happen as needed).

Prepared: 1.willing: willing and able to do something; 2. ready to deal with something: in a suitable physical or mental state to be able to cope with something, often something hard or bad;  3. made, or made ready, beforehand: made ready or put together in advance.

The Parable of the Ten Virgins: “1At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him! 7Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out. 9“ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves. 10“But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. 11“Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us! 12“But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you. 13Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”(Matthew 25:1-13 NIV).

TRADITIONAL JEWISH WEDDING CUSTOM:

1) Betrothal; the marriage covenant is established, a price for the bride is negotiated and paid by the groom to the bride's family. There were also some symbolic rituals involved, but that's not so relevant to the question at hand. (Jesus’ blood)

2) Preparation; The betrothal period is similar to being engaged. They were not yet to unite sexually, and the bride wore a veil to signify her consecration to her husband to be. The husband returned home after becoming betrothed/engaged to prepare a home for the woman, and the woman made her preparations for married life as well. Often this would be about a year of preparation.

3) Arrival of the Groom; Once the groom finished his preparations he would come to collect his bride. This was usually done at night, and the groom would be accompanied by a wedding party, male escorts and a best man, and they would carry torches to light their procession. The bride knew he would be coming but would not know when exactly (hence, needing to be prepared), so the groom would arrive with a shout to get the attention that they had arrived.(Rapture)

4) Wedding party; The bride along with her female attendants would accompany the groom back to his family home for a wedding celebration. After the procession walked back to the groom's family home... The bride and groom entered a wedding tent called a huppah to physically consecrate the marriage, while everyone involved waited and cheered. Then the groom would bring out the evidence of her virginity, and their marriage was essentially finalized. This was followed by a week of feasting and celebration by the entire bridal party.

10 virgins, 5 foolish virgins; 5 wise virgins The wise bought oil and the oil represents the Presence of God.

To the Church in Laodicea “14To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

God’s presence in our lives has a pricely cost, and what do we need to buy? “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.” (Revelation 3:18 NIV)

1) Gold refined in the fire; Truest and purest worship as a result of Your testimony, Your life of PRAISE AND WORSHIP. “2But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. 3He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness”(Malachi 3:2-3 NIV).

2) White clothes to wear- purity and consecrated life, righteousness (Jesus during Transfiguration, Priests)

3) Salve to put on your eyes (Salve-healing ointment that soothes and relieves); what do you look at? Do you see things the way God sees them? Are you focused? Having these things lead you to experience and to live IN and to live FOR the GLORY OF GOD!

“So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:16 NIV). LUKEWARM; warm:just slightly warm, especially when expected to be hot;  showing little enthusiasm: showing or having little enthusiasm, interest, support, or conviction. “19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (Revelations 3: 19 – 2 NIV)

HE LOVES US SO HE WANTS US TO REPENT AND BE DISCIPLINED! HE WANTS US TO ENTER THE DOOR! BUY NOW. Only those who are pure, consecrated, desperate, broken, hungry, those who are in love with Him, those who sees what He sees can experience the fullness of His glory. WE MUST be READY, so that we can be FIT to stay in HIS REALM FOREVER.ARE YOU READY FOR HIS GLORY? Fullness & Completion of Salvation (quote from Pastor Joe Sweet), JUSTIFICATION - SANCTIFICATIONGLORIFICATION;We should continually SURRENDER TO CHRIST to live CONSECRATED LIVES! CONSECRATE; declare place holy: to declare or set apart a building, area of ground, or specific spot as holy; dedicate something to particular purpose: to dedicate  somebody or something to a particular purpose. IT IS A DAILY THING; IT’S DISCIPLINE; IT IS A CHOICE; IT IS INTENTIONAL!

WHY DO WE BECOME LUKEWARM? Because we don’t want to leave our COMFORT ZONES;-We tend to be COMPLACENT; thus making us PRAYERLESS and worst we COMPROMISE

COMPROMISE; agreement: a settlement of a dispute in which two or more sides agree to accept less than they originally wanted After hours of negotiations a compromise was reached; something accepted rather than wanted: something that somebody accepts because what was wanted is unattainable; potential danger or disgrace: exposure to danger or disgrace. Our BASIS should always be THE BIBLE.

“25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless” (Ephesians 5: 25 – 27). He gave himself for us so that we may be sanctified through HIM!

“16Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,“I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY HALL BE MY PEOPLE. 17“Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says the Lord.“AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN;And I will welcome you. 18“And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me, Says the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:16-18 NIV).

When we compromise, we open ourselves to SIN. LET’S GIVE OURSELVES EXCLUSIVELY TO GOD. DECIDE,  NO MORE COMPROMISES, REMEMBER, BROKENNESS MEANS NO MORE EXCUSES!

"Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God." (2 Corinthians 7:1 NIV)

“Compromises” contaminates us, It makes us lukewarm. Revelation 3:16 says “God will spit out the LUKEWARM”; Stop fighting for your “rights”; remember the 10 virgins, only a few will chose to be sanctified(50%). Why should we have enough oil? “1Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. 2See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you SO THAT HIS GLORY MIGHT BE SEEN IN US.” (Isaiah 60: 1-2 NIV)

We need to emanate His light, we should be ready for His glory even here on earth, we nust hold on to the things which cannot be shaken: God presence and living in the fear of the Lord will help us endure and overcome.

Quoting Neville Johnson “This whole planet is a university and we must graduate with honors; this last days would be an endurance test, we must choose whose nature we would choose. It’s a matter of choice and discipline”.

“21He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelations 3: 21-22); & “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself READY.” (Revelations 19:7)
