The goal of god for us today is maturity!
It’s time we take responsibility;
It’s time we destroy irresponsibility!
Pastor Ovet Tamayo
Change will never happen, unless we allow change to happen, and we will never learn until we are
ready to learn!
There are two reasons why we come to church:
1. To experience the presence of God; we cannot work without His presence!2. To be trained by the Word of God, we will always fail if we
don’t know His Word!
God never calls a meeting for entertainment! Every time He calls us to gather, He has
a purpose in His mind – we need to expose that purpose for our lives and for the church. If we are willing and obedient, God will direct our ignorance with His knowledge, so we will be permanently changed and renewed.
Important Word: PIVOT
Pivot: in mechanical engineering, it is a point on which something turns, a hinge, an axle.
Crucial person or thing: somebody that is essential to the success or effectiveness of an activity Intransitive verbdepend on something: to be dependent on somebody or something, a single person, thing, or factor.
In life, we are often faced with a pivot, a time to make a choice whether to go forward or to move backward, go left or right, make or brake.
1 Chron 12:32a And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do. KJV
They know the time and they know what to do! If you don’t know the time,
then you probably don’t know what to do! If you don’t know what to do, you are probably doing the wrong thing with the wrong people; you are messing up a perfectly planned future – you are destroying hope! When you know the season and the
time, then you would know what to do – then there is hope, and the future is bright!
What is time as far as God is concerned?
Time is an interruption in eternity; it is
a brief moment in eternity with measure; God measures our lives by the time He gave for us. If life is measured in terms of time, then time wasted is life abused; Ignorance always result into abuse! Wasted time
is wasted life; Time without purpose is life without meaning! Why did God create time? He created time in order for Him to fulfill His purpose! God gave us only “A
Time”, you don’t have all the time to find the purpose of God for you, and you don’t have forever to fulfill it!
Eccl 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: KJV
Time is the length of days given
to men to live on this earth; when God wants to accomplish something in the life of a person, He gives him ‘time’, it is the currency of heaven here on earth! If God wants to bless you, He
does not give you money, He gives you time to earn money! God did not give you friends, instead He gave you time to gain friends and build relationships! God made all things beautiful in its
time; time was given to us to serve it, to be trained, and to be matured by it to prepare us for the season of God.
SEASON is a certain period of time that is marked by certain special and supernatural events; your season in God began when you were “born again!” When you are in season, you are in
demand and you can demand!
PURPOSE is the original
intention why we were created; it is the reason why we exist in this time and not in times past. Purpose is the thought or plan of God in motion – His thoughts gave you purpose as:
Jer 29:11 says “For I know
the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” NKJV
God created time then He put man into it, but He doesn’t live in time; God lives in eternity! That’s why He can see from the beginning to the end, He
is the Alpha and the Omega! When Jesus came to earth, God has entered into humanity, eternity has invaded time! But we are not yet in eternity, life is too short and we don’t have time to waste time, because time will not wait till you discover your purpose!Especially now, in these last days, we don’t have time to go around the mountain to
do what we were not able to do, to pick up the pieces of our lives that we left scattered and undone!
Eccl 12:1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, "I have no pleasure in them": NKJV
Remember God while you are still young, use your time effectively, don’t wait till your old, or wait till you graduate, it may be too late! Time moves, and time waits for no one!
Time manifests itself in the seasons (winter-spring-summer-fall), 4 seasons in time, one year, you need to adjust with the season. Every season, God fulfills a certain purpose in your life.
How does God measure our lives?
our lives in terms of purpose, not by age! Life is not measured by duration, but by donation! Not how long you lived, but what did you do with your life?
Matt 25:21 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
Jesus said ‘well done’, not ‘well said’! Many are good in talking, but
not in doing, faithful talkers, not faithful doers! We don’t contribute anything by merely talking!
We need to catch our purpose so we can fulfill it, so we can maximize our time! We were born for a purpose, that makes you responsible in life!
Gods Goal For This Season Is Maturity! GOD DEMANDS IT!
THE CHURCH: an excited group of people with no depth; we got great anointing
without character; we got excellent gifts but without standard – the level of quality is low, and there is no excellence – we got power without principles, flashy but no faith, we print great posters, but can’t invite the Presence of God,
we are experts in setting up meetings, but have difficulty meeting with God!
is two thousand years old – but still the church is gossiping, bickering, competing, hating one another, comparing each other with one another, prejudice, internal jealousies…etc! Jesus will not marry a little girl, an immature bride, we need
to grow up, and we need to grow up NOW! Growing up means TAKING RESPONSIBILITY! Nothing is as destructive as irresponsibility, it is the greatest menace of society, the church, and the family – irresponsible
leaders, fathers, Christians! Irresponsibility means not honoring authority, no accountability, unable to respond to conscience, undependable, fickle minded.
Irresponsibility also means unpredictable – you don’t know what they are going to do tomorrow, they could be tamed,
or they could be wild! Wild means they transfer blame of their behavior to someone else! They don’t want to take responsibility for their actions and their decisions; their only response is anger and backsliding! They are experts in blaming the past
for the present; blame their parents for their habits. Blame their teachers for their ignorance, blame their leaders for their poverty, blame tobacco and cigarettes for their cancer, blame the government for unemployment!
The poor blame the rich for unfairness. The rich blame the poor for laziness!
The QUESTION we ask is: How Do We Combat Irresponsibility?
knowing your purpose, and by committing yourself to that purpose! How can we know our purpose and become committed to it? We can know Gods purpose for us and be committed to it if we can answer these five questions in life! Every person in the world must be
able to answer them for life to have meaning.
QUESTION #1 WHO AM I?
This question has to do with your identity. If you don’t know your identity, you will take on somebody else's! Other times, other people will tell you who you are! REMEMBER, YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD, THAT’S WHO YOU ARE!
#2 WHERE AM I FROM?
This question has to do with your heritage.
Luke 20:2-8 "Tell us by what authority you are doing these things," they said. "Who gave you this authority?" 3 He replied, "I will also ask you a question.
Tell me, 4 John's baptism — was it from heaven, or from men?" 5 They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Why didn't you believe him?' 6 But if we say, 'From men,' all the people will stone us, because they
are persuaded that John was a prophet." 7 So they answered, "We don't know where it was from." 8 Jesus said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."
QUESTION #3 WHY AM I HERE?
This is your
2 Cor 5:5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the
Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Your purpose is revealed only by and through The Holy Spirit; intimacy with Him will reveal His plans for you!
Phil 2:13 For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
QUESTION #4 WHAT CAN I DO?
This is your potential; the ability that God has given you in order for you to fulfill His purpose for your life. If you don’t answer this question, other people will tell you what you can and cannot do. God has so much in
you, you don’t even know it!
QUESTION #5 WHERE AM I GOING?
This is where you take a pivot. The Holy Spirit will direct your life if you let Him; He will tell you whether to move forward or to move back ward, all to
prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future! (Jer. 29:11) The choice is yours!
As a Christian, we either live by preference or
by conviction – one of this two things will guide your life and direct which path you will take, and where you will be tomorrow! Preference are the things we like better, we choose them because they are the things that pleases us; Conviction is the firmness
of your belief; it is what God requires from all of us! Conviction or preference are powerful control mechanisms, your destiny is controlled by them, your way of life is controlled by them!
THE GOAL OF GOD FOR US TODAY IS MATURITY!
ITS TIME WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY;
ITS TIME WE DESTROY IRRESPONSIBILITY!
PRAY THE WORD. YOUR
