Arise from your slumber! Repent! For the Kingdom of God is at hand! Prepare the way for the coming of the Lord! Ps 90:12 Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

When the Jews left ancient Egypt they were told by Moses that 49 days after the exodus, they would be given the Torah. The populace
was so excited at the prospect of a spiritual liberation, following the physical emancipation from Egypt; they kept a count of the passing days that ended with the giving of the Torah at the foot of Mount Sinai. The Torah itself, in Lev. 23:15–16, and
Deut. 16:9, states that it is a commandment to count seven complete weeks from the day after Passover night ending with the festival of Shavuot (Pentecost) on the fiftieth day. Shavuot (Pentecost) is the festival marking the giving of the Torah to the Hebrew
nation on the 6th of the Hebrew month of Sivan.
Today is thirty-seven days, which is five weeks and two days of the Omer. The idea of counting each day represents spiritual preparation and anticipation for the giving
of the Torah which was given by God on Mt Sinai at the beginning of the month of Sivan, around the same time as the holiday of Shavuot. The omer (sheaf) is an old Biblical measure of volume of grain.
Q: Why did
God wait 50 days after the Jews left Egypt before giving the Torah? Why didn't He simply give it to them in Egypt, or immediately after their departure?
A: The Jews were not yet spiritually equipped to receive the
Torah. For over 200 years, they had been living in an Egyptian society known to be the world center for immorality and vice. Even without direct Jewish participation, these influences nonetheless permeated the air and seeped into their consciousness.
God could not give the Torah at this point. The Jews needed to grow up first, or else they would have squandered the opportunity. The high-impact adventure of the Exodus ― 10 miraculous plagues and the splitting of the Red
Sea ― launched the Jews into physical freedom. Yet the miracles of Egypt were only a jump-start to the spiritual possibilities that lay ahead. A one-time experience, as powerful as it is, does not permanently change anyone's emotional attitude. That is only
possible through practice and adjustment over time.
A scene from the film "Trading Places":
Eddie Murphy has gone from beggar to wealth in a few hours, and the first thing
he does upon entering his own luxury apartment is to steal things!
His physical body had been transported to opulence, but emotionally he was left behind.
You can take
the Jew out of Egypt, but it was hard to take Egypt out of the Jew.
A Time of Growth
This necessity for self-growth is stressed in the Torah's description of Abraham:
"Abraham was old, he came with his days" (Genesis 24:1).
"He came with his days" teach us that Abraham used each of his days to the fullest extent. At the end of his life, he came to old age "with all his days"
in hand. No day was without its requisite growth. In the same way, God is expecting growth and maturity in all of us.
After being Born Again, being physically and spiritually emancipated should manifest in our lives. Hindi pwedeng BSDU (Balik Sa Dating Ugali)! 50 days after the Red Sea, they were given the Torah!
And even up to now, they observe counting the Omer, looking forward to having and enjoying
the laws, anticipating the change, dreaming that life will never be the same again! They don’t have to live with mud on their feet forever! It was for freedom that Christ has set us free! No longer to be subjects to the yoke of slavery! Now we’re
rejoicing in God’s victory…our hearts responding to His call! There is a response! He’s waiting for us to respond!
Last Tuesday Prayer Meeting message of Pastor Ovet, he mentioned
about wilderness…Sanay tayo to be on our own. Decide on our own. Do things our way. See things our way. Hear things our way. We live and move and walk OUR OWN WAYS! In the wilderness He trained their eyes to look and keep on looking at the Pillar of
Fire and the Pillar of Cloud. It’s a night and day, day and night thing! Nakatutok veinte cuatro oras! After the 10 plagues, after the Red Sea,… 50 days later…He trained their ears to hear His voice. Apathy- the curse of much modern Christianity
today. The Lord told us that the conditions that were prevalent during the times of Noah would mirror the condition of the church in these end-times.
37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about
what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken
and the other left.
42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,
he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
The Lord said “Be ready”
(V.44) The problem is that a huge proportion of the church today is not ready.
People wants to hear messages about blessings, easy grace …They want to see the Lamb of God giving His all in all! They don’t
want to see the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. The judgments of God are knocking at the door of the church. It’s time for true holiness to be preached. The days of Noah were a prophetic picture of the end-time church. Noah’s ark was built in 3 levels.
This represents 3 types of Christians in these end-times:
-Those that live in the Holy of Holies
who live in the Holy Place
-And those who are living in the Outer court.
These represent 3 levels of walking with the Lord. It is very interesting
that in Rev 11, an angel was measuring the temple and this was said of the Outer Court:
2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because
it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.
These Outer Court Christians are not ready for the days ahead which are described as being like the days of Noah. This 3
½ years, or 42 months, is referring to those in the church still living in an Outer court experience who are not ready for what is coming in those days. In Rev 13 we have another reference to those 3 ½ years:
5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. 6 He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and
his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7 He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
time to wake up and understand the days in which we are now living.
12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside
the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ,
and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
The bible tells us that God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh before Jesus returns, in Joel 2:28. and again in Lk 3:5, 6
5 Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. 6 And all mankind will
see God's salvation.
Through the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
outpouring will help prepare the church in part for what is coming. Great purifying fire will increase in waves and intensity, purifying the church. Then
upon the purified church will be poured the great anointing of the Holy Spirit. Great authority will be given in order to demonstrate the reality and power of the Kingdom of God.
It is CHAW SUNDAY TODAY! “They are the church of tomorrow!”
WRONG! …Chinese Philosopher....They are the church today!
Many of the western nations were formed with a constitution that laid out basic rights of the individual and basic laws concerning right and wrong. These laws have become the pillars of these nations.
Over the last few years we have seen an erosion of these basic national foundations which has opened the door to Satan enabling him to change
the laws and gain inroads and control in these nations.
3 When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?"
10 Judah's leaders are like those who move boundary stones. I will pour out my wrath on them like a flood of water.
2 Men move boundary stones; they pasture flocks they have stolen. As the basic foundations which determine right and wrong are removed, the enemy gains access to those nations. As God’s laws which
govern marriage between a man and a woman are changed, great evil sweeps into the nation.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
20 Doom to you who call evil good and good evil, Who put darkness in place of light and light in place of darkness, Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
destroyed Sodom primarily because of the sin of sodomy. The laws redefining marriage are opening the gates to great judgment upon those nations. Removing the boundaries incurs the wrath of God.
Issues: Live-in partners,
promiscuity, fornication, same sex marriage (Ex. Aiza Seguerra, Charice Pempengco…) We are told to pray for the restoration of the “ancient landmarks”. Many western nations now ban anything Christian in their schools while on the
other hand set up prayer rooms for Islamic students. This so called “political correctness” has opened doors to much evil. This is not a time to be tolerant, and politically correct. It is truth that will set a nation free.
Prov 22:28 (NIV)
28 Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers.
28 Don't stealthily move back the boundary lines staked out long ago by your ancestors.
We are now at the point where the only way to bring back truth and true reality as based in God’s word is
for judgment to come. This will turn many back to righteousness. These judgments are God’s last resort and they are expressions of His love. God does not wish for any to perish, His judgments are redemptive. We must also remember that judgment begins
in the House of the Lord.
We are heading into the most dangerous times ever and so many Christians are asleep. The plans for a one-world government which will require a world military force and a world banking system,
as well as a world religious system, are well under way now. The time is coming soon, when the false world church incorporating all religions will be the only church allowed to function. All the true churches will be outlawed. This message is serving a pressure
cooked word. This is a wake-up call that should change the way you think how we should do church.
One early morning, God showed me how the enemy stealthily snatches, and robs the Christians: -presented with a knock out message, the Christian will go home hating the Pastor. Why? -The Christian comes to church “maraming laman ang isip” -Basura! Junk!
Upon hearing the message
challenging the church to repent, be transformed, and be renewed and restored, turns his/her back, protects and defends the “Basura” and the junk he/ she so lovingly collected all 7 days he/she’s out of the church.…and when
the service is over, back in his/her domain, attacks the Pastor-preacher.
It’s like a cycle; it goes back and forth in a circular pattern, controlling the person.
But hello Preacher! It will soon come to an end! People will repent and turn from their wicked ways!
We need to learn from the messages.
Learn in 3 ways:
1). Easy way
2). Hard way
Many shepherds are not warning their people and preparing them for the difficult days ahead. But not here! Not in JOGSGO!
11 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now
than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
11 But make sure that you don't get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. 12 The night is about over, dawn is about
to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed.
Romans 13:13-14(MSSG) 13 We can't afford to waste a minute, must
not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence, in sleeping around and dissipation, in bickering and grabbing everything in sight. 14 Get out of bed and get dressed! Don't loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute. Dress
yourselves in Christ, and be up and about!
Arise from your slumber! Repent! For the Kingdom of God is at hand! Prepare the way for the coming of the Lord!
