The Majesty of the Call, Colonization

Satan has manipulated the minds of the people into thinking that ‘colonization’ in any form is evil, but in fact this is the desire of God for His creation ever since! In the kingdom of men, everyone wants to go up so they can rule above everybody else; but in the Kingdom of God, the leaders go down to the bottom to help everybody go up! The kingdom of men is measured by the number of people who serve you, but in the Kingdom of God, it is measured by the number of people whom you serve!

Change is now coming upon the world so fast that the only thing we can count on is change – the question we ask is, should we resist change, or help its course? The answer is both! If we do not resist the changes that we should resist, we will become subject to changes we do not want – the church is faced with the greatest test: How she relates to the world? Those who do not understand the changes that are coming will be swept away by them, but those who do understand will be in the best position to help direct them or resist them!

When we say colony, we refer to a country or an area that is controlled or ruled by another country. It is the Latin word “colonia” which means farm, and “colonus” which means tiller. The glory of Kingdoms is in their domain, and every domain is called a colony;  it is the outline territory of the Kingdom. The Spanish empire was one of the largest empires in history – some of their colonies were California, Arizona, Florida, all in the USA; Argentina, Guatemala, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and the Philippines, 94 in all!

They then had the most powerful navy, until Great Britain built more powerful ships and overpowered their navy – more people speak Spanish in the world than English, but English is the most influential of all. Because more speak Spanish than any other language, it is a sign that Spain’s colonization was very influential and successful! Someday, more people will be speaking in tongues as a sign that the Kingdom of God is most influential because more will speak the language of heaven!

Luke 12:32  "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

The first and greatest gift of God to mankind was the Kingdom, His Kingdom!

Gen 1:26  Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule  over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

The word rule is also the word dominion which speaks of a government or a kingdom. God was not happy when Adam lost his authority to rule in Gods Kingdom, this is the reason Jesus came, to take back that which was lost!

Matt 25:34  "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

When we say inheritance we talk about land, house, stocks, money, which the parents leave to their children when they grow old – parents cannot give to their children what does not belong to them! Jesus had to take the Kingdom back so The Father can have legal right to give it to those who fulfill their assignments, not to those who are religious! Jesus did not only come to bring salvation for us but to secure our inheritance in Him! Religious spirits are very powerful spirits – when Jesus was to cast out a demon, He simply commands it and it leaves! But Jesus cannot command the religious spirits out of the Pharisees and the Sadducees!

It the process by which the government of a Kingdom extends and expands its sovereign authority, its power, control, culture, and lifestyle to a distant territory through the establishment of a colony of citizens in that territory. Every colonial power of our times used this system, and this is exactly what God wants to do! God wants the power, control, culture, and lifestyle of His heavenly Kingdom be taken here on earth, that’s why He taught us to pray “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!

There are Three Principles of the Kingdom:

 1. It is the extension of a kings influence and reign over a distant territory.

 2. It is the establishment of a kingdoms rule and domain to a distant territory – it is actually to transfer a government.

 3. It is the reproduction of a “prototype”  of the kingdom to a distant territory – when you go to a colony, you would think you actually entered the kingdom, that’s the prototype.

The purpose of God is to produce a prototype of His Kingdom beginning in your own home! It is the desire of God that your life here on earth would be like that of heaven – whatever is not  in heaven should not exist in your home! In heaven there is no sickness, depression, disease, divorce, debt, poverty, fear; instead there is peace in heaven, joy, abundance, wellness, love…Culture is the way we live, and because we are citizens of heaven we are supposed to live in a different way as they live in the world.

We don’t wear the same clothes or speak the same language or act and behave in the same manner as they do here in the world – worldly! Health is also a culture in heaven, we don’t spend our life saving just to fix our bodies, but we enjoy our fruits as God has planned for us, to enjoy life! One does not need to be in the kingdom to experience it, he only needs to come to the colony and it’s as if he was in the kingdom! What is going on in your home? Is it an extension of Gods Kingdom? Who is reigning in your house? Whom do you experience every time you come to church which is the embassy of God?

 1. The nature and quality of the king and his kingdom determines the state and condition of the colony. The colony will be just like the kingdom! If the kingdom is poor, the colony will suffer poverty, or if the king is oppressive, the colony will be oppressed! The colony can be no better than its king.

 2. The quality of life in the colony is at the mercy of the quality and life of the king. We praise God because we have a King who is the best in all the universe – we can trust Him because He is faithful, loving, and very gracious! As the King goes, so life goes!

Matt 6:33  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

If we want the manifestation of God’s love and abundance, we need to seek FIRST His Kingdom and His righteousness and not the kingdom of man and his humanism – good without god!

Phil 4:19  And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

The word according means ‘it depends’, if heaven is broke, that means we are in trouble! One is not wealthy based on what one has, but we are wealthy based on what the Kingdom of Heaven has – ‘walang ubos sa langit!’

The character of the colony: SERVANTHOOD

Matt 20:25-28 Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

The greatest threat to colonization is ‘unrighteous government’, when the king becomes unrighteous, the colony is in trouble! Many people hate colonization because they all had a bad experience – the Philippines when we became a colony of the Spaniards, then by the Americans, then by the Japanese, then by the Americans again, a long-long battle, full of bad experiences! Every nation that was colonized were all oppressed and abused by their colonizers, we were injected with the idea that they were superior to us, this is the root of “colonial mentality”,  where we think the products of the colonizers are better than us! Many Filipinos still believe that the Americans, the Japanese, even the Koreans are better than us!

The uniqueness of the Kingdom of God is its righteous nature, it is the only Kingdom where the King died for His subjects, its citizens! Can you imagine Queen Elizabeth giving her life for the British? Or Pres. Barrack Obama dying for the Americans? Ninoy did for the Filipinos, but he was not the president!

Righteousness means right positioning, it is having an alignment with the law of God in heaven – if we want a good leader, this is the best qualification, right position with God and aligned with the Word of God! Independence is the worst thing in a kingdom! It is the product of an unrighteous government! Colonies declare their independence when they feel that the king is unrighteous.

Luke 15:11-12  Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.

But independence can also be the result of a rebellion, when the people think they can do better than their colonizers, or when they become hungry for wealth and power which they think the colonizers are stealing from them! Independence means ‘making your own decision’! Many youths today think they can be independent of their parents; many people think they can be independent of God – so they make their own decisions, they end up in a pig pen eating pig food, poor and destitute like the prodigal son! When you declare independence, you are only as rich as what you have, so when it runs out you are broke and others will hire you to feed their pigs! Our best minds are independent and broke – they say marriage between two men are good, that killing your unwanted child is good!

Luke 15:17-19  "But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!  18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,  19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." NKJV

We need to be recolonized, not religionized!

Luke 15:20/22-23  "And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. NKJV

No colony that has ever received her independence has ever returned to her colonizers, no matter what the situation may be!

22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.  23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; NKJV
